PMI has the capability of performing straightening operations on a variety of heat treated parts.  The first type of straightening, referred to as press tempering, is used for metal stampings which are prone to distortion during heat treatment.  Press tempering is performed in special fixtures to straighten parts such as stampings, castings, and springs that have been deformed by production or other heat treating processes.

In addition to press tempering, PMI also utilizes a 48" Eitel straightening press for cold working of distorted parts.  This press can be used to manually straighten larger castings or other large parts distorted from production or heat treatment.
