Ferrous forgings are heat treated in atmosphere batch furnaces.
Processes typically include oil quench hardening or carbon and
alloy steel parts,
annealing of carbon and alloy steel parts, normalizing of carbon steel parts,
and carbon restoration or carbon and alloy steel parts. Non-atmosphere
heat treatments include tempering and sub-critical
annealing. Finishing treatments
include steel shot blasting.
400
series stainless steel forgings are hardened in oil
quench atmosphere batch furnaces. 300
series stainless steel forgings are solution
annealed in water quench atmosphere batch furnaces.
Non-ferrous forgings are heat treated in atmosphere and non-atmosphere batch furnaces. Process typically include annealing of copper, brass, and bronze parts and solution annealing and age hardening of aluminum parts. Finishing treatments include glass bead blasting and straightening.
